Restoring Strength. Rebuilding Confidence.

Peakhurst, NSW

Waterproofing Solutions

The balconies had experienced multiple system failures due to slab movement and inadequate original design, resulting in repeated waterproofing failure and ongoing water ingress.

RBP removed all existing finishes and prepared the slab to achieve compliant falls. Incoordination with a Design Engineer, the system was redesigned to address structural movement, incorporating new concrete hobs, additional movement joints and a dual waterproofing system for redundancy. Given the history of movement, a traditional tiles system was not reinstated. Instead, a pedestal paver system was adopted to isolate finished from structural movement and improve long-term performance.

The new system provided a durable, serviceable solution that accommodates structural movement while protecting the waterproofing membrane.

The design allows for improved drainage, ventilation and future maintenance access, significantly reducing the risk of recurring failure.

Heritage restoration

structural rectification

Guildford, NSW

Heritage Restoration

RBP delivered major structural rectification works to a heritage-listed church in Old Guildford (circa 1830s), which had experienced significant differential settlement due to the absence of conventional foundations.

The structure had undergone substantial movement, causing cracking, separation of masonry element and progressive instability across one side of the building.

RBP undertook detailed investigation in coordination with structural engineering input to assess the extent of movement and structural deficiency. A targeted rectification strategy was developed, including underpinning works, structural stabilisation and masonry stitching to restore structural integrity while maintaining heritage compliance.

The building was successfully stablished through engineered underpinning and structural reinforcement. including the installation of over 100 meters of Halifix stainless steel reinforcement. All work were completed in accordance with heritage requirements and relevant Australian Standards, ensuring long-term structural performance while preserving the building’s historic character.

The bathroom facilities at the private girls’ school in Chatswood were outdated and was no longer suitable for daily high-traffic use. Key issues included aging plumbing, poor waterproofing, limited accessibility and finishes that were worn and difficult to maintain, impacting hygiene and long-term performance.

RBP carried out a full strip-out and complete refurbishment of the amenities. Works included upgrading plumbing and water efficiency systems, installing compliant waterproofing to all wet areas, improving accessibility features and selecting durable, high-performance fixtures and finishes designed for heavy use in an educational environment.

The refurbished facilities now provide a safe, functional and compliant environment for students and staff. The upgrades have improved water efficiency, reduced maintenance risks and significantly enhanced durability, resulting in a modern, clean and long-lasting amenity upgrade.

The retail warehouse sustained significant fire damage, impacting both structural components and internal areas. The building required urgent remediation to address compromised structural integrity, damaged cladding, and internal fitout elements, while ensuring safety risks were fully resolved and compliance requirements could be met.

RBP managed the insurance repair process and delivered a full restoration scope, including structural repairs, replacement of fire-damaged cladding, and refurbishment of internal spaces. All works were carried out in accordance with insurance requirements and current building standards, with a focus on reinstating safety, durability and operational functionality.

The warehouse was successfully restored to a fully safe, compliant and operational condition. The completed works reinstated structural integrity, improved building resilience, and delivered a functional facility ready for immediate use, aligned with both regulatory and insurance requirements.

Façade restoration

wATER INGRESS

Homebush, NSW

Façade Restoration

The building envelope had failed due to ongoing water penetration, with a critical design deficiency identified in the exposed wall cavity, which had not been properly sealed or capped. This resulted in water ingress, render delamination and coating failure.

RBP carried out investigation to identify the root cause of the issue and coordinated a design solution to address the defective cavity detail. The façade was allowed to fully dry before undertaking rectification works, including sealing of the cavity and reinstatement of the render system with a protective elastomeric coating.

The source of water ingress was eliminated and the façade was restored with a durable and flexible protective system designed to withstand environmental exposure and prevent future deterioration.

Commercial Restoration

Lidcombe, NSW

Structural Repairs

The retail shop sustained severe fire damage, affecting structural components, internal surfaces and all finishes. The space was rendered unsafe and non-operational, requiring comprehensive restoration to reinstate structural stability, compliance and usability.

RBP delivered a full restoration scope including structural repairs, removal and replacement of damaged internal elements and complete renewal of interiors and finishes. Works were carefully managed to ensure compliance with safety and building standards, while restoring the layout and presentation of the retail space.

The shop was successfully returned to a safe, fully functional, and compliant condition. The restored interior now presents a clean, modern and visually appealing retail environment, ready for immediate occupation and trading.
